Your data

Delete your CHEOLO account

You can delete your account yourself at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

How to delete your account

  1. Sign in and open Settings.
  2. Go to the section Your data.
  3. Under Delete account, enter your password and type DELETE to confirm.

Before you delete, you can use Download my data (JSON) in the same section to keep a copy of the information held about you.

If a paid Premium membership is still renewing, you will be asked to cancel it first, so that no further payments are taken. See Cancel a subscription.

What deletion removes

Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, trips, likes and the messages you sent, and signs you out everywhere. Other members can no longer see or contact you.

Some records may have to be kept for a limited time where the law requires it or for safety reasons, for example payment records, or reports and moderation decisions that concern serious misconduct. Encrypted backups are kept for a short period and then overwritten. The Privacy Policy explains retention in more detail.

If you cannot sign in

First try resetting your password. If that does not work, write to support@cheolo.com from the email address on your account and ask for deletion. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you before we act on it.

Other privacy requests

You can also ask for access, correction, restriction or portability of your data, or object to processing, by writing to support@cheolo.com. Your rights are described in the Privacy Policy.
