Report a Problem or Appeal a Moderation Decision
Tell us what happened
CHEOLO takes reports of impersonation, abusive messages, nonconsensual content, suspected scams, exploitation, threats, unsafe trip listings and underage accounts seriously. Where an in-app Report option exists, use it from the member profile, message or trip concerned. You can also write to support@cheolo.com. Provide a short description, a relevant account or content link, dates and any lawfully obtained evidence that helps us assess the issue.
What happens to a report?
Reports enter a controlled moderation process. Depending on severity and available information, the service may leave content unchanged, ask for clarification, remove content, restrict communication, suspend an account or refer suspected illegal activity to appropriate authorities when required. We aim to explain material account or content restrictions as applicable and make available any rights to internal challenge required by law. We cannot promise that every report will produce a sanction.
Confidentiality and fairness
Reporter information is accessible only as necessary to investigate and comply with law. It is not an absolute promise of anonymity: serious incidents, legal obligations or the need for procedural fairness may require carefully controlled disclosure. Do not send sensitive government documents or intimate images in ordinary email unless support directs you to a secure channel.
Appeal a decision
If your content or account is restricted, follow the review instructions communicated in the notice or contact support@cheolo.com with the decision reference and reasons you believe the decision was incorrect. Appeals must be handled under applicable law and with measures to avoid a reviewer approving their own improperly handled case. Where the EU Digital Services Act applies, the available notice, complaint and escalation mechanisms will reflect the obligations relevant to CHEOLO's service and size.
Illegal content reports
To report material you believe is unlawful, state the content's specific location, why it is believed unlawful and contact details for a response, subject to legal exceptions. Do not knowingly submit unfounded notices. We assess requests under applicable law and our Community Guidelines.
Emergencies
CHEOLO support is not an emergency response service. If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact local police or emergency services. For payment fraud, contact your bank or payment provider promptly.
