Terms and Conditions — CHEOLO
Read CHEOLO's membership, travel dating, community, content, Premium subscription and account rules.
Version: 18 October 2026 — prelaunch publication draft
1. What CHEOLO is
CHEOLO is an online platform for adults who want to discover potential dating partners and travel companions through shared destinations, interests, dates and experiences. Members can create profiles, discover other members, use mutual matching, exchange messages where permitted, publish or join member-organized trips, and propose Rendezvous experiences. CHEOLO provides software for introducing people and communicating; it does not automatically book flights, sell package travel, act as a travel agency, guarantee dates, or guarantee that any person is who they claim to be. A trip listing or Rendezvous invitation is not a booking confirmation.
The contractual service provider must be identified by its actual legal name and street address in the Imprint. Support email: support@cheolo.com.
2. Eligibility and account creation
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to use the features you select. Register with an email address you control and give truthful material profile information. Do not create impersonation, shared, fraudulent or automated accounts. Keep your credentials secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. CHEOLO may require email confirmation, moderation and profile completeness before enabling discovery or messaging. Successful registration does not guarantee that other members will appear nearby or want to meet you.
3. Profile authenticity and optional verification
Only upload images you are entitled to use and that accurately represent you. Respect the privacy of other people in your photographs. CHEOLO may hold photographs for moderation before displaying them. A profile photo check or badge, if later offered, has a limited meaning defined at the time of the check; it is not a government identity document, a criminal background check, or a guarantee of safety. Biometric FaceTrust processing and automatic face verification are disabled for real members in the prelaunch configuration. No member is required to submit biometric information merely to read these Terms.
4. Matching, messaging and mutual consent
Discovery and recommendation results depend on the data users choose to provide and the platform's visibility, safety and preference rules. We do not guarantee availability, compatibility, responses or meetings. Messages are private between the authorized parties and are not permission to solicit money, demand explicit content, harass another member or ignore a refusal. A like is not consent to be contacted through other channels. You can block or report someone using the available controls. The number of message requests or the ability to use certain filters may depend on the current, clearly disclosed membership tier.
5. Trips and Rendezvous are member-arranged
Members remain responsible for deciding whether to travel, meet or participate in activities, and for checking transport, local laws, health needs, personal safety, accommodation and the reliability of third-party vendors. Trip organizers must describe important changes honestly, maintain accurate dates and respect acceptance and cancellation decisions. A member's trip is not an offer by CHEOLO to provide travel transportation, accommodation, insurance, tickets or services unless those services are separately offered under specifically published terms. Meet in public first, share plans with a trusted person and do not send money to a stranger to secure a date.
6. Prohibited behavior
We prohibit impersonation, use by minors, unsolicited commercial promotion, escorts or solicitation, fraud, money requests designed to exploit others, stalking, threats, hate, harassment, nonconsensual intimate content, coercion, discriminatory abuse, grooming, publishing personal information without authority, scraping, account selling, evasion of moderation, unlawful content and security attacks. Do not use the service to arrange illegal acts or misrepresent travel reservations. Further practical examples are provided in our Community Guidelines and Safety Centre.
7. Your content and our limited permission
You keep ownership of content you create, subject to the rights of third parties. By publishing profile information, photos, trip details or messages, you grant CHEOLO a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license limited to storing, displaying, transmitting, formatting, moderating and technically operating the service for the duration reasonably needed. This permission does not transfer copyright ownership. Other members receive access only as permitted by the product's functionality and your chosen visibility settings. Deleting content ends normal display use, although legal retention, investigations, backups or content previously shared by others may limit instant removal everywhere.
8. Moderation, reports and appeals
To protect members and comply with law, CHEOLO may remove content, restrict a feature, suspend an account or terminate access where reasonably justified. The action and explanation should be proportionate to the situation, subject to applicable notice and appeal rights. Use Report and Appeals or support@cheolo.com to report harmful or unlawful content or contest a moderation action. Knowingly false or abusive reports may themselves violate these Terms. Applicable rights under the Digital Services Act and other law are not waived by this section.
9. Free membership and Premium
The basic features available without payment and the additional features included with Premium are described on the Premium page. A Premium plan is never a payment for access to a specific person, a meeting, intimacy or a guaranteed response. Where live subscriptions are offered, the checkout must clearly show the total price including applicable taxes, currency, billing interval, renewal date, subscription duration, payment method and cancellation arrangements before you place an order. The price and plan displayed at confirmed checkout form part of that purchase. No production plan price is asserted by this document while billing remains disabled.
10. Renewals, cancellations and refunds
An optional recurring membership renews only under the terms explicitly accepted at checkout. Members must be able to cancel using the legally required online cancellation process and the account's subscription controls. Cancellation of future renewals is different from withdrawal from a recent contract and from a refund for defective service. Statutory consumer rights always prevail. Read Refund and Cancellation Policy, Right of Withdrawal, and Cancel a Subscription. Production billing may not open until the legal terms, cancellation and withdrawal functions, SumUp merchant approval and live payment validation are complete.
11. Ending your account
You may request account closure and deletion through supported settings or at support@cheolo.com. Ending an account does not erase valid unpaid obligations or prevent retention where the law requires it. If an account is terminated for serious abuse, CHEOLO may restrict re-registration where lawful and necessary to protect others. A paid membership must not continue charging merely because a member has lost access to an account; an accessible cancellation route must remain available.
12. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service accessible but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Temporary outages, maintenance, moderation and security measures may affect access. Material contract changes will be communicated with legally required notice and options. Nonessential new services may have separate terms; no change takes away nonwaivable statutory consumer rights.
13. Complaints, applicable law and consumer rights
Contact support@cheolo.com for assistance, complaints and statutory consumer-rights requests. Applicable mandatory consumer protections in your country of habitual residence continue to apply where the law requires them. These Terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for deliberate wrongdoing, injury or mandatory consumer rights. CHEOLO does not promise an out-of-court dispute scheme unless its verified legal operator has actually committed to one and published the legally required statement.
14. Effective date and acceptance
These are prelaunch draft terms, not a notice that sales are already live. The published effective date and version history must be recorded when the legally approved terms are deployed. Continued use of a public product is not a substitute for explicit purchase consent where law requires it. Questions: support@cheolo.com.
